Lotus and Luna offers easy, breezy and comfortable styles.

Wholesale apparel companies are responding to trends with options that resonate with coastal retailers.

Bali Queen’s bestselling collection in coastal locations is its Bombay Collection. The Bombay Short Jeweled Kimono features exquisite, beaded trim from top to bottom and is crafted from a luxurious viscose silk blend. The luxe viscose-silk blend adds a soft, flowy feel, which the company says is perfect for sunlit strolls or casual outings.

“For an elevated, resort coastal look, we are noticing the viscose silk and beaded embellishments as a trend for our 40-plus customers — an undeniably gorgeous pool-to-the-party style., says Shannon Burke, co-owner.

Lotus and Luna’s bestsellers consistently align with the needs of coastal living. “Think easy, breezy and comfortable,” says Christina Freberg, vice president. “Our 100% cotton bottoms, including pants and shorts, are top performers. The lightweight, gauzy fabric is both organic-feeling and breathable, making it a must-have for humid climates.”

Pink Pineapple Shop saw its lobster prints in high demand over the summer months and that momentum is still going strong into fall. The company has been making custom sweaters for coastal areas for over 20 years, and as trends change, name-drop remains popular, according to owner Stacie Hall.

Sweaters featuring icons like this lobster sweater from Town Pride is a popular trend.

Similarly at Town Pride, President Tamara Moran says, “Along with the super-hot trend of lobsters and oysters, fish have joined the trend in a very strong way.”

As for color, any shade on light to medium blue, pewter to chocolate brown and splashes of pink are popular. While the company continues to see growth in its most popular body type of knit, the company has received increased requests for a more tailored style. In response, Town Pride launched its new Favorite Crewneck.

Jayne Forrestt, owner and founder Pearls & Camo, is finding her lightweight V-neck, hi low, and classic crewneck designs selling well along with block print dresses and large, one-of-a-kind coastal inspired jewelry pieces.

And as we head into 2026 and the 250th anniversary of the USA, The Pink Pineapple Shop points to the American flag as an up-and-coming coming trend that Hall advises stores to prepare for now. “If you don’t stock up on unique flag items you will miss out,” she says.
