The 2025 Gathering Awards, held during the annual event from Oct. 14–17 in Orlando, Florida, brought together leaders and innovators from across the gift and souvenir industry to celebrate outstanding achievements. The awards ceremony, which took place on Oct. 15, recognized individuals and organizations that are driving progress through sustainability, leadership and impact.

“The Gathering Awards are a celebration of the heart and soul of our industry,” said Marni Golden Vinci, show director for The Gathering. “Each winner this year has demonstrated not only excellence in their craft but a deep commitment to progress, purpose and people. It’s an honor to recognize their achievements and the inspiration they bring to our community.”

Aramark Yosemite received the Sustainability Award for its commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. Show organizers noted that Kimberly Wright, lead buyer for Aramark Yosemite, is at the center of this recognition, whose thoughtful approach to retail curation has transformed the guest experience at Yosemite National Park. Wright prioritizes products that reflect conservation values, low-impact living and eco-conscious design, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in every purchasing decision.

Libby Smith of Smith-Western Co. received the Women in Leadership Award for her visionary guidance and ability to inspire change. Smith has cultivated a culture of innovation and trust, motivating her team to take smart risks and embrace growth. Show organizers shared that her leadership is marked by authenticity, respect and a clear vision that continues to move her company forward.

The Impact Award went to Jose Sepulveda of Evelyn Hill Inc., whose nearly 40-year career as a buyer for the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Fort McHenry NM & HS has left a lasting mark on the industry. Sepulveda is known for his collaborative spirit and creative eye, always bringing fresh, compelling merchandise to iconic national landmarks. Show organizers said his approach to buying is built on partnership and mutual respect, earning him recognition across the industry.

“The Gathering is so much more than a trade show—it’s where our industry comes together as a community and connections go far beyond the show floor,” said Lisa Berry, group vice president of Clarion Events’ Gift & Souvenir portfolio. “Our awards night is one of my favorite moments because it celebrate the incredible achievements of our customers and reminds us how strong and supportive this community really is. It’s inspiring to see peers lift each other up and push our industry forward together.”

Attendees selected Little Box Guy as the Best Booth at the show, captivating people with a standout exhibit that blended creativity, branding excellence and an engaging visitor experience.

During the event, several vendors also received superlative awards:

“We are so proud of the creativity and heart that our team put into building our booth for The Gathering,” said Nick Ortiz, co-founder of Little Box Guy. “Winning Best Booth is an incredible honor and a reflection of the passion we pour into every detail of our brand. Participating in The Gathering was about connecting with retailers we've dreamed of collaborating with and finding new opportunities to expand in multiple ways. Little Box Guy embodies the playful spirit that lives in all of us.”
