A shared dedication to protecting marine life prompted a partnership between 4Ocean and Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida. “Understanding that sea turtles are essential to ocean health and often suffer from plastic pollution, we saw an opportunity to collaborate on a project that could significantly benefit both organizations’ goals,” says Josh Liberman, creative director, 4Ocean.

The initiative launched with a Sea Turtle Rescue bracelet. Proceeds funding the removal of 5 pounds of plastic and trash from the ocean, rivers and coastlines while also supporting Loggerhead’s turtle rehabilitation efforts. $2 from every sale will be donated directly to the center.

At Loggerhead Marinelife Center, every guest is ultimately a partner because their support helps advance a mission as a seat turtle research, education and conservation center with a robust animal hospital and gift shop that proceeds all proceeds back into vital programming.

“Our interest in Loggerhead Marinelife Center was driven by their comprehensive approach to sea turtle conservation,” says Liberman of one of the most advanced turtle hospitals in the country.

4Ocean also appreciates the center’s commitment to public education.

“By raising awareness about the challenges sea turtles face and how individuals can contribute to their protection, Loggerhead Marinelife Center helps further our mission of addressing the ocean plastic crisis,” Liberman says.

4Ocean and Loggerhead Marinelife Center are duly tied to yet another mission: empowering the public to take action to support vital environmental needs.

The limited edition bracelet’s braided design features a stainless steel center sea turtle charm handcrafted by local 4ocean Bali artisans. The cord contains plastic collected by 4Ocean captains and crew. GreenCircle has certified 100% recycled stainless steel charms, 95% post-consumer recycled glass beads (silica added for strength and durability), and 96% (post-consumer) recycled content cord.

“The initial bracelets were met with tremendous enthusiasm,” says Liberman of the two-week sellout. “This response highlighted the public’s support for initiatives that combine ocean cleanup efforts with tangible conservation impacts.”

Now, 4Ocean is committed to developing new designs and an ongoing line of bracelets that will build on the momentum.

Sustainability is at the core of 4Ocean’s Sea Turtle Rescue bracelets. The cord is fabricated from 100% recycled 4Ocean plastic that cleanup teams remove from oceans, rivers and coastlines. Beads are created from recycled glass bottles and charms are made from 100% recycled stainless steel.

“Each bracelet is handcrafted by our skilled artisans in Bali, ensuring that every piece not only supports marine conservation but also promotes sustainable and ethical craftsmanship,” says Liberman.

He adds, “We are stoked to continue our partnership with Loggerhead Marinelife Center, creating impactful initiatives like the Sea Turtle Rescue bracelets. This partnership exemplifies our collective mission and reinforces our commitment to making a lasting, positive impact on our oceans and marine life.”
