The Coastal Connections Conference has announced it has postponed the inaugural event due to the threat of Hurricane Ian.

“Our team has been closely monitoring the developments of Hurricane Ian. Due to the potential impacts of the storm, we have decided to postpone the Coastal Connections Conference, originally scheduled for Oct. 3-5,” says Kristin Ely, Coastal Connections Conference director. “The safety of our attendees, speakers and vendors is our priority, and we felt this was the best decision given the circumstances.”

Event organizers have worked with the Margaritaville Resort Orlando to reschedule the event based on the resort’s availability. The new conference dates are Sunday, Jan. 22 to Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023.

Anyone who has already registered for the conference will automatically have their registration transferred to the new dates. Those interested in attending but have not yet registered can register online at www.coastalconnectionsconference.com.

Modifications to the conference schedule will be updated in the coming weeks on the Coastal Connections Conference website, www.coastalconnectionsconference.com.

“We appreciate your understanding as we work to minimize the impact for everyone, and we look forward to seeing you in January,” says Ely. “In the meantime, we’re keeping the people of Florida in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for this potentially historic storm.”
