International Market Centers has announced the expansion of its apparel offerings with the launch of Las Vegas Apparel, a new temporary trade show event to be staged August 8-10, 2021 at the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas. Produced by Atlanta Apparel, which presents eight successful fashion and social occasion markets each year, the market will feature a curated selection of young contemporary brands plus shoes and accessories, extending resources offered to the industry during the multiple apparel shows taking place in Las Vegas that week.
“Atlanta Apparel is going west,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “We are tapping the Atlanta Apparel acumen to create a new, highly curated experience for the Las Vegas Apparel market week. Attendees can expect the hospitality, atmosphere and pace of an Atlanta Apparel market staged in a new dynamic and purpose-built tradeshow facility.”
Las Vegas Apparel will be an intimate showcase of some 150 brands presenting full collections. The scope of the show allows retailers to spend quality time with the brands to fully explore new styles. In addition to brand presentations, buyers also can expect the trend education and trade show floor experience they enjoy at the Atlanta Apparel markets. A full list of exhibitors will be announced this summer.
IMC’s Las Vegas Apparel will open on Sunday, Aug. 8, before several other Las Vegas apparel buying events staged throughout the city, to give retailers the opportunity to preview the featured lines and devote time to the new buying concept. As an added benefit, buyers attending IMC’s Las Vegas Apparel market will have access by appointment to World Market Center’s lifestyle product resources including gift, personal care, decor, stationery, seasonal, fashion accessories and more.
“Expanding IMC’s apparel portfolio has been a goal since we acquired the Atlanta Apparel shows in 2018,” added Maricich. “The pandemic accelerated our growth plans with high exhibitor demand for an Atlanta Apparel-produced show to meet pent-up West Coast need for new product. After staging four successful markets during the pandemic, brands and buyers trust Atlanta Apparel to produce a safe, engaging and profitable market experience.”
The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas is a brand-new trade show facility in downtown Las Vegas that officially opens in April 2021. Owned and operated by IMC, parent company of Atlanta Apparel, the Expo at WMCLV features an expansive lobby area, registration area, on-site shuttle bus depot, attached parking garage and two permanent “grab and go” food service areas.
“With the Expo at WMCLV now open for business, we have the ideal venue to grow the Atlanta Apparel brand and update the Las Vegas fashion trade show calendar,” said Maricich.
To accommodate the launch of Las Vegas Apparel and allow for travel time between Atlanta and Las Vegas for brands and buyers who will attend both markets, the August Atlanta Apparel temporaries presentation will shift one day from its previously announced dates to run Tuesday, Aug. 3 to Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021. The August Atlanta Apparel market will present thousands of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel lines in showrooms Aug. 3–7, 2021 at AmericasMart Atlanta.
