Clarion Events, the organizer of Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show, scheduled for Oct. 7-10 in Las Vegas, has provided an update on the safety measures it is taking at the show.

“Your safety is our top priority. We're closely monitoring the global COVID-19 outbreak and will be following local regulations and recommendations as well as working with our partners and other event organizers to ensure a high standard in safety for our events,” the company said in an email to past participants.

The email listed several initiatives that will be put in place at the show. They are:

  • Physical distancing - New registration area setup, clearly marked entrances and exits, one-way aisles and social distancing reminders throughout the show floor. At networking events, food and beverage will be boxed or individually wrapped.
  • Cleaning and hygiene – The Las Vegas Convention Center will undergo a rigorous cleaning regime, provide increased sanitation of high-traffic areas and add hand-washing stations. In addition, the Las Vegas Convention Center is in the process of seeking GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) Certification for infectious disease and contamination control measures.
  • Protect and detect - Additional first aid stations will be located throughout the event with enhanced medical support available. In addition, the show will implement face mask guidelines in accordance with local regulations.
  • Communication plan - Updates will be communicated to attendees and exhibitors regularly through email and available on the show website. Event signage will also be placed prominently in common areas promoting social distancing.
