Task force created to develop on-site preparedness plan.Surf Expo says its top priority is the health and safety of its attendees, exhibitors and staff. As the organizer, Emerald Exhibitions, begins to prepare for the Sept. 10-12, 2020 event at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, it posted a health and safety update on the Surf Expo website. “We want to assure you that we are following all guidelines set forth by the CDC, WHO, as well as state and local officials,” the show states. Surf Expo says it is actively working with Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and have formed a task force to address the venue’s health and safety guidelines and develop an on-site preparedness plan. Here are some of the measures they are considering for September:
The Orange County Convention Center’s Health and Safety / Recovery and Resilience Five Step Plan, is available here. “As with most things during this crisis, this is a fluid situation, and we will provide further updates as they become available from the CDC, WHO, state and local officials,” Surf Expo says. “Surf Expo would like to thank all those working diligently to help us relaunch the exhibitions business and making our world safe again overall.” The update concludes by stating, “As the premier watersports and beach lifestyle marketplace, we look forward to bringing together our community, culture and commerce.
