Ocean Gold Vermeil Collection gives retailers an upmarket selection of fresh coastal designs.Ocean Jewelry, an Ireland-based coastal jewelry company, has expanded its line of nautical and sea-life inspired pieces designed to connect customers with their precious seaside memories. The growing brand introduced its Ocean Gold Vermeil Collection in January 2022 at Surf Expo and Atlanta Market with completely redesigned booths. The line’s launch is in response to a resurging interest in gold and a desire to offer an affordable, resilient and eye-catching alternative that is superior to gold-plated jewelry. “We are excited at the prospect of bringing many more retailers along on our journey,” says Alan Clancy, the brand’s national sales manager. Ocean Jewelry is a top selling brand among many retailers and the new line offers opportunities for them to expand inventory and boost sales volume, he adds. “We believe that the launch of our Ocean Gold Vermeil Collection adds another dimension to our already successful Ocean jewelry offering,” Clancy says. The wide selection of designs will include 36 new pendants and earrings. The gold vermeil must meet stringent standards, including genuine sterling silver as a core material and a gold layer that is five times as thick as plated jewelry. “Gold vermeil provided us with the best opportunity to achieve the very high-end and distinctive look we strived for,” Clancy says. Clear crystals and white mother of pearl complement the gold material and lend an upmarket look that gives retailers a way to fill their cases with attractive styles, he adds. According to Clancy, a retail price point of $165 to $299 “allows our end customers to achieve a 14 karat gold and diamond look without the 14 karat and diamond price point.” As with other Ocean Jewelry lines, the Ocean Gold Vermeil Collection will include turtle, starfish and sand dollar designs—while also showcasing wave, sun and tropical concepts. An adjustable chain allows customers to layer multiple pieces, which is yet another sales opportunity. And aside from the gold vermeil collection, Ocean Jewelry also will launch a collection of sterling silver seaside-themed bangles and bracelets. Ocean Jewelry entered the market about six years ago with about 50 pieces at the Surf Expo and Atlanta Market, giving retailers a range of pieces that are affordable luxury. Now with the Ocean Gold Vermeil Collection, retailers can capitalize on customers’ demand for gold and the brand’s increased following. Clancy says, “It is our hope with the upcoming launch of the Ocean Vermeil Collection that we can build even stronger relationships with our existing partners while also helping to open the door for many new opportunities.” |
