Clean-burning, coconut wax candles designed to promote healing and mindfulness while being sustainable.![]() Lotus and Luna, a coastal-inspired clothing and accessories brand is expanding its product offerings with the launch of a new aromatherapy candle line in 2025. Designed to capture the calming essence of the coastline and promote intentional living, the new collection reflects the brand’s continued commitment to wellness, sustainability and positive energy. “All beach lovers and coastal adventurers know the feeling of peace that the ocean brings,” said Christina Freberg, Vice President and Wholesale Director of Lotus and Luna. “The sound of gentle waves, the mesmerizing water crashing on the shoreline, the salty breeze in your hair – it's a symphony for the soul. Our founder (Janelle Clasby), deeply rooted in a love for the coastline and the calm it inspires, sought to bottle this very essence.” According to Freberg, the new Healing Candle line was a natural progression for the brand, which has long focused on intention-setting and the power of energy stones. Each candle in the line is centered around a specific healing property and paired with a powerful mantra to reinforce that theme. “Our candles offer more than just a delightful scent; they're a tool for mindfulness and positive intention,” said Freberg. “Each label features an uplifting mantra, designed to provide a specific intention for users to adopt when lighting their candle. It transforms the simple act of lighting a candle into a moment of self-care and intention setting.” In keeping with Lotus and Luna’s emphasis on clean living and eco-consciousness, the candles are hand-poured in Southern California using 100% organic coconut blend wax — a cleaner, more sustainable alternative to paraffin or soy wax. The coconut wax is biodegradable, GMO-free, and burns cleaner and longer, with larger vessels offering 60 to 80 hours of burn time. “Our fragrances are made in the USA and are vegan, paraben-free, and cruelty-free,” Freberg added. “Each candle also features two all-natural wicks for better fragrance throw, and the iridescent vessels are designed with repurposing in mind. They can easily be reused as a plant pot, small storage container, or vanity catch-all.” Beyond the sensory and sustainability appeal, the candle line aligns with growing consumer interest in mindfulness, wellness, and home ambiance. Freberg noted that the collection’s cohesive look and feel complement Lotus and Luna’s best-selling energy stone jewelry, making the candles ideal for gift bundling across categories. “A candle is the perfect gift for anyone, anytime,” she said. “Their universal appeal, combined with their alignment to wellness, natural ingredients, and sustainability, makes them connect with customers on a deeper, emotional level.” While the candle line is manufactured in the United States, it still supports Lotus and Luna’s mission to empower artisan communities in Thailand. The brand, which employs Thai artisans to craft its apparel and jewelry, reinvests proceeds from candle sales into its social impact initiatives, including ecosystem restoration efforts. “Although our candle line is not made in Thailand, the sales of this new product contribute to our artisan community impact, with the intention to expose a new audience to our beautiful handcrafted items,” Freberg explained. “A portion of proceeds from candle sales will go towards Ecosystem Restoration in Thailand through our partnership with Eco Drive.” With this launch, Lotus and Luna is aiming to extend its brand experience from wearable wellness to atmospheric wellness — offering consumers a way to bring peace, positivity, and purpose into their homes. |
